ABSTRACT INFORMATION

Abstract policy

1) The abstract is to be a summary of the forthcoming paper, comprising maximum one page.

2) The abstract has to be accepted before submission of the full paper.

3) Notifications of acceptance will be sent after the deadline (15 January 2009 for abstracts).

Advice regarding the abstract submission procedure

1) You can log in and edit your abstract text multiple times before you finally submit the ready abstract.

2) Formatting will be done automatically, so please write in plain text using some common font (e.g. Arial, Times New Roman).
Do not use page and column breaks! Do not  use capitals only for title and/or authors!

3) If you use MS Word, then first copy the text into Wordpad or Notepad, and from there into the abstract text window.
Otherwise, the resulting preview file may appear strange; Word text contains formats that are not web-compatible.

4) You can also edit the text directly and save it multiple times, including logging in and out in between.
Each time you save (or submit) the text, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail.
If you do not, it may be due to your browser or your e-mail server.

5) In principle, you should now be able to include figures/pictures in your abstract.
A second option (only when necessary) is to send a complete Word 2002-file that contains the desired figures.
    Send this copy to generalquestions@ewtec2009.se.

6) When you are ready to submit your abstract, you should preview it as a pdf/Word file, save a copy on your computer,
and then press the button "Submit". After this, a new window appears, where you need to press a second button
named "Submit for review", in order to confirm your submission.

7) After submitting the abstract, you can not edit it anymore. However, if you need to send yet another version, you
can log in again and make a "new" abstract: Click on "Create document" in the "Abstract manager" window.

8) If you wish, you can also submit more abstracts after the first one.
Also in this case, you click on "Create document" in the "Abstract manager" window.
